简介

Lu Yukun is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He received his bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). His research interests lie at the intersection of statistics, geometry, and real-world data problems.

In October 2025, he will join the Interface of Data Science and Geometry Group at the Shanghai Institute for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (SIMIS), led by Zhigang Yao, as a postdoctoral researcher. His current work focuses on applied statistical problems, including cryo-electron microscopy (CryoEM) structure reconstruction, RNA sequencing analysis, and large-scale biomedical data analysis using UK Biobank data. He is also developing a long-term research agenda on the theory and methods of manifold fitting for complex data.
